Pop-up roofs and sleeping roofs for VW T6, T5, T4 and T3
Sleeping roofs , even pop-up called, folding roof or folding sleeping roof, are of REIMO developed for over 35 years and produced. The first roofs were created for VW T3 and Ford Transit and roofs for buses and vans are still available for many new and older vehicle types. The range includes sleeping roofs for VW T3, VW T4, VW T5 and VW T6 , as well as VW Caddy, Ford Transit Custom, Renault Trafic, Opel Vivaro, Fiat Talento and Mercedes Vito and Viano.
The most common folding form of the roofs is FRONT HIGH, which means that the roof rises at the front and the entry into an optional sleeping roof bed takes place in the front area of the cab. For some vehicle types, REAR HIGH roofs are also offered, in which the roof rises at the rear.
VARIOUS VARIANTS OF THE VW T5 AND VW T6 ROOF ROOFS
VW T5, T6 roof super flat
The super flat sleeping roof is the classic of the VW T5 and T6 folding roofs. The roof is offered for the short and long wheelbase in the variants front high and rear high and is suitable for VW Transporter box and station wagon . The Easyfit sleeping roof should be used for Multivan or Caravelle. A special installation frame is required for assembly, which strengthens the body in the roof area and also serves as a bed cover.
The roof cutout includes the roof including the area of the cab.
The roof is locked with straps when closed and when opened, gas pressure dampers support lifting and keep the roof up.
The optional bed, consisting of a bed sheet made of plywood and a 30 mm thick foam mattress , has a sleeping area of approx. 200 x 120 cm and can also be folded up and held by gas pressure dampers.
The pop-up roof raises the vehicle by approx. 6-7 cm . On the sides of the tent bellows there are 2 mosquito nets with blackout that can be opened and in the front a film window with blackout. The roof color is white, but can be painted in the vehicle color for an additional charge.
VW T5, T6 roof Easyfit
The Easyfit V-Tec sleeping roof for VW T5 and VW T6 with an inner and outer roof shell and integrated reinforcements differs only slightly from the Easyfit sleeping roof .
The inside of the roof shell is smooth and easy to clean.
The Easyfit V-Tec sleeping roof is only offered for the short wheelbase in the high front version . There are 2 variants for vans and for vehicles with comfort cladding and climate headlining . The optional bed is also available in two versions for the high roofs. On the one hand, the proven shape of plywood bed sheet and foam mattress in 30 mm with a sleeping area of approx. 200 x 120 cm.
On the other hand, there is the luxury luxury loft bed for the roof versions up front with a spring plate slatted frame and a 30 mm foam mattress. The bed area is approximately 180 x 110 cm.
Of course, the Easyfit folding sleeping roof and the bed also have gas pressure dampers that make opening easier and keep the roof and bed above.
For the VW T5 and VW T6 vans, special cladding elements are offered to provide a clean finish to the passenger compartment; for vehicles with comfort cladding, these can be elegantly adapted.

All roof variants are available with belt fasteners or safety fasteners and, like the Easyfit roof, the two bed variants are also available. The luxury roof bed is only available in combination with the safety lock.
A highlight of the Easyfit V-Tec sleeping roof is the optional OPEN SKY tent bellows , which can be opened completely. Of course, it still has the tried and tested windows.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SLEEPING MOUNTING VW
To assemble a sleeping roof, your VW bus must meet certain requirements.
For head airbags, only the Easyfit and Easyfit V-Tec roofs can be installed.
The vehicle must not have a sunroof or glass roof in the cab. The vehicle should only have a sliding door. The partition must be removed.
All roof structures must be able to be dismantled and on vehicles with a C-rail in the roof they must be dismantled. We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the equipment options.
TÜV AND REGISTRATION BEDROOMS
All sleeping roofs for VW are TÜV-tested and have a parts certificate. When installing in Bochum, you will also receive an installation confirmation for submission to the TÜV.
The entry in the vehicle documents is therefore only a matter of form.
A change in the vehicle documents is necessary, but deferred. It must be reported to the responsible registration office the next time the vehicle documents are dealt with.
